For family friendly spaces gravel isn’t always the safest option for children but when used alongside large lawns or planting bright, colourful gravel can be intriguing and stimulating. Using your garden as a haven for wildlife can provide hours of entertainment through bug hotels and small ponds.
- Yellows, Greens and Reds provide focal points in features and borders of eye catching interest
- Build soft sided ponds with older children to encourage wildlife
- Create boundaries to roads with gabion basket walls filled with brightly coloured cobbles
