Alpine Rockery

Alpine Rockery

31st August 2017

Rock gardens support a variety of small plants. Large rock pieces are placed in a raised fashion to aid drainage and provide shade or sun traps depending on plant types. Whether you’ve got a large plot or a small space, rockeries are a great way to add definition.

  • Use sandstone or slate rockery to maintain ph levels in the soil as limestone rockery will increase alkaline content
  • Bed plants into compost that has been mixed with potting grit to increase drainage
  • Choose a natural or light reflecting alpine gravel  as a bed topper
  • Build sand pits and use Happy Faces Play Sand for endless fun outside!
